D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the month of March by welcoming Platon (RU) back to the label for a new single. As one of his country's most recognized progressive house producers, Russian artist Platon has had a strong five-year run. Arey, Eternal Beats and Stellar Fountain's Black division have served as homes for his nostalgic take on the progressive genre. However, the Moscow resident's greatest successes have come courtesy of SLC-6 Music, where he has released three well-received single's across the last calendar year, the most recent of which was 'Pu 47' from September of 2023. Now, continuing to build a bond with the label, Platon returns to SLC-6 Music with 'Ag 47', alongside remixes from Astral Base & Elazar, Omar Nickel, Home Shell & Olven, Gleb Rubens and Rodri XXX. Noted for his dark progressive style, Platon continues to deliver and expand on that trait with 'Ag 47'. Menacing basslines and tough beats provide the anchor for an array of vocal fragments, trippy effects and brooding synth mutations to provide a devilish eight minute journey. The first remix finds Astral Base returning to the label with SLC-6 debutant Elazar for a strong collaborative effort. Together the duo re-assemble the elements into a huge slice hypno-progressive that is equal parts muscular and prophetic. Also making his label debut is Omar Nickel who arrives following releases via BCSA and Droid9. The Texas resident maintains the darker monochromes of the original nicely, while adding additional texture and depth through processed guitars, granular effects and further vocal deconstruction. Moving forward to the third interpretation, Home Shell & Olven return to the label for their fourth remix and third of Platon (RU). The duo's creative synergy continues to impress with a version that adds energy, drive and emotion through poignant chord stabs and a lighter, more hopeful atmospheric backdrop. Moving forward, Gleb Rubens returns to the label for his seventh appearance following remixes of two of Platon's previous projects 'Ethereum' and 'Elen'. The Belarusian artist and Eternal Beats label manager continues to impress with a groovy approach to 'Ag 47', one where the framework opens up and chunkier basslines add a swing heavy, club effective vibe. Rounding out the release is up and coming talent Rodri XXX who returns to the label following a contribution to 2022's SIX: Stage-13 collection. Sticking to his dark, techno oriented sound, the Argentine adds further depth to the release with a psy-tech approach perfect for those paranoid late night dancefloors
